Tempranillo, Radio Boka – Valencia, Spain 2017

Medium-dry, full-bodied dark cherries, ripe strawberries, plums hints of sweet spice.

Montepulciano, Sagoma Rosso – Abruzzo, Italy 2021

A mid-weight, juicy, plummy red made from Montepulciano and smidge of Merlot. Dark fruits—blackberry, plum, blueberry—on the nose. The palate is ripe and round, with the same black fruits replaying, along with anise and a touch of earthiness. 

Beaujolais, Pascal Aufranc Chénas – France 2018

Harvested from 83 year old vines, this is full, flavourful Gamay. Dried red berries alongside subtler notes of violets, earth, black pepper, & gentle spice. Perfect with paté. 

Pinot Noir, Cloudsley Cellars – Niagara VQA  2019

This is a vibrant Niagara Peninsula pinot. Beneficially aged 18 months in barrel before release. Its elegant on the eyes, nose and palate. Ruby red. Medium bodied. Velvety tannins. On the nose and palate, crushed red cherries are woven together with subtle smoke and spring time earth and cedar notes.

Cabernet Sauvignon, Submission 689 Cellars – California 2018

Deep ruby-purple in color with rich aromas of boysenberry, blueberry jam and dark chocolate – covered cherries. The wine is medium to full – bodied , packed with layers of blackberry, blueberry and chocolate. Freshness defines the subtly layered dark silky fruit in the finish.          

Héritage de Chasse Spleen – Haut- Médoc, France 2019

This Bordeaux is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (60%), Merlot (35%) and Cabernet Franc (5%) and displays a beautiful ruby red colour. The bouquet is fruity with vanilla aromas mingle with ripe black fruits. The palate is powerful and balanced, with supple tannins.

Brunello, Argiano di Montalcino – Tuscany 2017

A wine of considerable bandwidth with lots of dark fruit, rich plum and spice. It carries medium fruit weight and concentration spicy oak notes and toast that also play an important role in this hot-vintage Brunello. The results are plump and slightly round, but you also get the acidity and the tannic structure of an age-worthy Sangiovese. RP 93pts

Pleasant, delicate, fruit, characteristic, intense and suggestive of apple and figs. Dry, velvety, tasty and fruity with a slight after-taste of bitter almond; it is well-bodied and harmonic, and has good acidity

Chardonnay, Cloudsley Cellars – Twenty Mile Bench, Vineland 2018

Wild fermented and aged in all French oak, 25% of which is new oak. It has a beautifully perfumed nose of apple, saline minerality and pear with integrated oak spice notes. It shows bright stone fruits on the palate, flint, persistence and vibrancy on the finish.

Sauvignon Blanc, Rongopai – Marlborough 2019

Aromatic with a soft smoky perfume and a touch of mandarin.  Finely textured and generous palate with a crisp finish.  Flavours of citrus, melon and a touch of sweet garden herbs.

A dry weighty stylish German wine from the under appreciated Silvaner grape that is bright, vibrant with loads of pears & apple notes alongside hints of salty minerality

Falanghina, Aia dei Colombi – Campania 2021

Falanghina is an ancient white varietal grown in the Campania region surrounding and east of Naples. This modern wine shows intriguing mineral, citrus and floral notes in the nose. On the palate, the minerals shine through backed up with good acidity and medium weight.
